Eileen DavelaarPh.D., C.Psych.

Eileen has been a consultant with the Adlerian Counselling and Consulting Group since the spring of 1996. Her special area of expertise is in psychoeducational assessment, which involves testing procedures employed to identify the presence of learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties.

Eileen offers assessments for children, adolescents and adults. These assessments are designed to help clarify the nature of a client’s cognitive and academic achievement characteristics, and how these affect learning and performance in the classroom or on the job. Following testing, a detailed report and consultation session form an integral part of the assessment process, and recommendations for interventions or accommodations are considered at that time.

Eileen has also been a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa for over 10 years, where she has taught courses in child and adolescent development, in cognition, and in the history of psychology. Currently, she teaches courses in both statistical analyses and research methods and design.
