Coaching is a dynamic, interactive relationship between coach and client, focused on topics chosen by the client to address personal performance, learning and/or fulfillment goals. Through process, conversation and relationship, the coach supports the client to build awareness about the situation, make choices and increase self trust. Together, coach and client debrief client results and rework strategies until the client achieves her/his intent. Coaching provides short-term results and builds skills for long term, sustainable change.
The client is seen as creative, resourceful and whole by the coach. The intent of coaching is to enable the client to identify workable solutions to achieve the goals the client sets out in the initial coaching sessions. The services are designed jointly with the client. Coaching, which is not advice, counselling or therapy, may address specific personal projects, business opportunities or general conditions in the client's personal life or workplace. Coaching services include value clarification, strength analysis, brainstorming, creation of plans of action, examining modes of operating in life, clarifying questions and challenges to stats quo. Throughout the working relationship, the coach will engage in direct and personal conversations. The client can count on the coach to be honest and straightforward in asking questions and making requests. The client understands that the power of the coaching relationship can only be granted by the client and the client agrees to participate in a powerful coaching relationship.
